A miniature, Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip jug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with two individual letters, an ’S’ and an ’A’. It is well decorated with a band of classical subjects, one depicting ’The Cupid seller’. All of the reliefs are good quality and the jug is in excellent condition.
It is quite hard to find Wedgwood miniatures from this period.
