A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip miniature jug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1860. It is also impressed with a letter ’S’ and a number ‘2 1/2’. The 2 1/2 relates to the size in inches. It is decorated, in relief, with two classical scenes and there is a foliate border under the spout. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich, shade of blue. It is in excellent condition.
