A miniature, Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip mug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with a letter ‘K’ and a couple of other, indistinct workmen’s marks. It is finely decorated with three different classical subjects, one of Pegasus and one of the Three Graces. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip glaze is a rich shade of blue. It is in excellent condition.
It is quite hard to find Wedgwood miniatures from this period.
