A miniature, Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip mug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with a letter ‘S’ and a couple of other, indistinct workmen’s marks. It is decorated with three different classical subjects. All of the reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip glaze is a rich shade of blue. It is in excellent condition.
It is quite hard to find Wedgwood miniatures from this period.
