A pair of Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip spill vases. Each vase is impressed “WEDGWOOD” and they also have an impressed number ‘6’. This relates to the size in inches. Both have an impressed workman’s tool mark and one has a single letter ‘A’. They date from c.1880. Each one is decorated, in relief, with two of the Muses standing between trees and foliage. To the top is a border of scrolls and flowers. The reliefs are all good quality and the dip glaze is a rich shade of blue. They are both in excellent condition.
