A small, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip jardiniere. This piece is marked 'WEDGWOOD' and it dates from c. 1860. There are also a couple of indistinct workman's marks impressed in the base. It is decorated, in relief, with four small, classical subjects, beneath garlands of grapes and vines which hang from lion's heads. To the rim is a narrow border of flowers. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. There is some staining to the interior of the jardiniere, from use, but other than that it is in very good condition.
