"Bread the Staff of Life"

A lovely quality, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This is carved with “Bread the Staff of Life” in an elaborate script and it dates from c.1870. The wood has a very attractive grain and a lovely, pale honey coloured patina. It is in very good condition, with just the usual scratches to the face, from use.
