Wedgwood Blue Jasper Pot and Cover

Wedgwood Blue Jasper Pot and Cover

Code: Z51016

A Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip pot and cover. Originally this would have been part of a dressing table set. It is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1880. It is also impressed with a letter ‘V’ which is possibly a workman’s mark. The pot is decorated with four different classical subjects and the lid has a further classical group with a border of oak leaves and acorns to the rim. The reliefs are all good quality. There is the tiniest chip to the top of the blue dip on the rim of the pot. This can just about be seen in one of the images and it is the only fault.

Dimensions: Height 8.2cm. Diameter 7.8cm.
