A small sized, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip cheese dome and stand. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It also has an impressed number ‘4’ and a workman’s mark in the form of a circle with a central divider. The cheese dome is relief moulded with a band of classical figures and to the top is a band of oak leaves and acorns and a further band of acanthus leaves. The oak leaf and acorn border is repeated on the rim of the stand. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. Both the dome and stand are in very good condition but there is a little staining to the interior of the dome, from use.
