A miniature, Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip mug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with three individual letters, an ’S’, a ‘B’ and a ’Z’. It is finely decorated with three different classical subjects, two of them including Pegasus. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip glaze is a rich shade of blue. It is in excellent condition.
It is quite hard to find Wedgwood miniatures from this period.
