A Wedgwood dark green jasper pot and cover from a dressing table set. This piece is marked 'WEDWOOD ENGLAND' and it dates from c.1910. The colour, which is a very unusual dark green, is known as Dysart green. It was only produced for 6 years, between 1906 and 1912. Wedgwood had issues with the pigment bleeding into the white reliefs so they stopped the production. The piece is decorated with four different classical subjects and there is a border of oak leaves and acorns to the rim of the lid. It is in excellent condition.
