An 18th century, yellow jasper dip slave plaque. This piece is not marked but the relief is identical to the one designed by Wedgwood in the 18th century. This one was shown to the Wedgwood museum in the 1990's and confirmed to be by Wedgwood and dating from c.1790. It is octagonal, instead of the usual oval, and does not have the usual wording to the rim. It is, however, a most interesting and unusual piece and it is in excellent condition.
Price includes postage within the U.K., Western Europe, and the U.S.A.
