A Wedgwood, black and white jasper dip, milk jug. This jug is marked ‘WEDGWOOD’ and it dates from c.1860. It is also marked with an impressed number ’48’ which would be a batch number, and a letter ’S’. It is decorated, in relief, with a band of classical figures offering sacrifices. To the rim are garlands of flowers hanging from oval medallions. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
