A super quality, pair of Wedgwood, green jasper dip, trumpet shaped vases. These are both marked “WEDGWOOD” and they date from c.1820. Each vase is decorated, in white relief, with vertical columns which have lion’s paws at the base and lion’s head masks at the top. Between the columns are garland of flowers beneath cartouches which contain very tiny classical scenes. There is a very fine ribbon and ivy leaf border above the main reliefs and an attractive scroll border beneath. The vases are beautifully decorated and the reliefs are extremely fine quality. One of the vases is in excellent condition but the other has a small chip to the side of the white relief on one of the columns.
