A rare set of early 20th century, Wedgwood calendar tiles. These are decorated with good quality, brown transfer prints. To one side of each tile is a view relating to the City of Boston in America and to the reverse is a calendar. The calendars relate to 1904, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1918 and 1919. As half of these relate to the years of the First World War they would have been very limited in production. We have had a couple of these in the past but we have never come across a group of them together. Each one has a hole pierced in the top so that they could be hung with the calendar side showing. This was done in the manufacture. There is wear, and very minor chipping to the rims of a number of the tiles and the tile for 1914 has a larger chip to the rim. This can all be seen in the various images.
Dimensions of each tile: Length 12.2cm. Width 8.4cm. Depth 0.7cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K., shipping to the U.S.A. and most of Western Europe.
