Wedgwood, green glaze dish

Code: G20223

SOLD

A Wedgwood, green majolica glazed moulded dish from a dessert service. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it is also impressed with a three letter date code “3JS”. This dates the dish to 1916. It is very well moulded for a piece from this period. The centre is moulded with a basket weave design bordered by oak leaves and acorns and around the shaped rim is a border of grapes band vines. It is then covered in a deep green, majolica glaze. There is a very small fault but is barely visible. A tiny amount of glaze has been chipped from the reverse of the dish and there is a short hairline crack running from this.
