A delightful pair of Wedgwood Ivory ware Portland Vases. Both vases have a red transfer printed mark in the shape of a Portland Vase above the word “WEDGWOOD”. They are also impressed with “WEDGWOOD” and a large letter “L” and they date from c.1870. The decoration consists of oriental style flowers in raised gilding and enamels. It is rare to find this shape of vase with this style of decoration, particularly in this small size. One of the vases has overall crazing to the glaze and a chip on the foot. The other is in perfect condition.
