Dimensions:
A Wedgwood, majolica bread plate. This has impressed marks ‘WEDGWOOD’, ‘M’ and ‘BRF’. BRF is the date code for 1877. It also has a pattern number, painted in blue,’M2084’. The plate is moulded with a basketweave centre and a bamboo border and this is then coloured in bright, majolica glazes. The effect is very attractive and the piece is in excellent condition.
