A Wedgwood, late creamware plate with an attractive, hand painted border pattern. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it is also impressed with a three letter date code. The code is very indistinct but it would date the plate to c.1870. The border, which is a combination of stylised, heart shaped leaves on a vine and a geometric design is hand painted in green, brown and maroon. The plate is in excellent condition. There is very minor flaking to the brown enamel line on the rim.
