Wedgwood Religious Tile "They Found Him in the Temple"

A 19th century, Wedgwood, dust pressed tile, block printed in black with “THEY FOUND HIM IN THE TEMPLE”. This is marked, in the moulding on the reverse, “JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS ETRURIA” and it dates from c.1880. It is one from a series of 15 religious subjects which were prepared for the Wesleyan Sunday School Union and exhibited at an Art Congress by the Lockmakers Chubb & Son of 57 St. Paul’s Churchyard, London. It is in excellent condition. This is a rare series of tiles which we have not come across before.
