A large, sycamore butter print carved with a thistle. The carving of this print is quite naive in style and the print dates from c.1860. The print and handle are carved as two pieces and are joined by a carved, screw thread. The wood has good colour and patination.
Condition: There are three cracks to the rim of the print, where the wood has dried out over the years, and there is wear to the carving from use.
