A two part wooden butter mould carved with a squirrel. This is a late example of a much earlier style of mould. It still has its’ original label from when it was made and this can be seen in the image. These were carved for exhibition in the Rural Industries Bureau in the late 1940’s or early 1950’s. This is a good example, well carved and in excellent condition.
The label gives full instructions on the use of the mould.
