A very large, early 19th century, sycamore butter print carved with a geometric design. This is very deeply carved and has good detail. By the nature of the design it probably originates from Wales or the West Country. The print and handle are carved in one piece and the wood has good colour and patination. The print is not quite circular. This is probably due to slight distortion over the years.
Condition: There are a few wood worm holes but these have been treated and are not active otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Width 14.8cm Height 14.5cm. Length of print and handle 6.8cm.
