A two part wooden butter mould which would turn out a poppy head. This is carved in beechwood. It is English and it dates from c.1890. It is deeply carved and it resembles a poppy head when full of seed.
It has its original pegs which would locate the two sides together for use. It is in excellent condition and it would turn out well due to the depth of the carving.
