A small, wooden, butter ejector print carved with a swan. This is carved in beechwood, it is English and it dates from c.1900. The carving is very well detailed for the size of the print and the piece is in excellent condition.
The print would have been pulled back into the outer cup which was then filled with butter. Once chilled the butter would be pushed out of the cup and you would have a small pat of butter with the design on the top.
Dimensions: Length when the print is pulled back in the cup 9.5cm. Diameter 5cm.
