Creme Renversee Pan

SOLD

Code: E18131

Dimensions:

W: 21cm (8.3")H: 12cm (4.7")Di: 16.3cm (6.4")

A 19th century, French copper, creme renversee pan. We are showing these pans as a graduated set, as you don't often find them in such a range of sizes, but we are selling them separately. This is the largest one of the group. They were used for making desserts  like creme caramel where they are turned upside down to serve, with the sugary syrup then on the top. This one is marked with a number '16' which relates to the diameter of the pot in centimetres. It has flat copper handles to either side and an acorn shaped, brass finial to the lid. It dates from c.1890 and, other than a few small marks to the copper, on the lid,  is in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Price includes postage within the U.K.  Shipping to the U.S.A.  add £15.  Western Europe  add £8.
