English copper preserve pan

A good quality, English copper, preserve pan. To the base of this pan is the remainder of the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams but this is now quite worn. It dates from c.1880. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has the typical English shape of brass handles to either side. On one of the handles is a number '15'. This relates to the internal diameter in inches. The pan is 40cm. diameter by 11.5cm. deep and overall, including the handles, it is 51cm. wide by 15cm. high. It is in excellent condition.
