Fruit top mould

A three part, pewter ice cream mould with a group of fruits to the top. This piece is marked, in the casting to the inside of the base, with a registered design kite mark between 'NO 7' and '1 PINT'. The kite marks dates the registration of the design to 1868 and the piece dates from c.1870. NO 7 would be the pattern number and 1 pint is the capacity. The top section of the mould appears to have been left in salt and this has pitted the metal slightly so it would no longer be the best to use. Other than this it is in good condition.
