A late Victorian, beechwood breadboard carved with the motto ‘Waste not’. Date c.1890. The carving on this board is fairly simple although the lettering is well executed. It is in excellent condition, with just very minimal scratching to the face of the board, from use.
The wood has a good, rich colour and patina.
