Large Benham's casserole.

SOLD

Code: F17697

A large, English copper, oval casserole pan and cover. This pan is marked, to the base, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It dates from c.1870. There is slight pitting to the steel fittings but other than that it is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.

The pan is 30.7cm. long by 20cm. wide by 15cm. deep and the overall length, including the handle is 48cm.
