A huge, rustic, French copper baking dish. Dating from c.1860, this piece is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and there is a small copper loop attached for hanging. It is stamped with the letters ’S.T.P.’ These would have been the initials of a previous owner. It has seen a lot of use and the copper now has a slightly pitted appearance. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. It is an ideal size for the Christmas goose or turkey.
