A Victorian, silver plated, hatelet skewer. This is a very good quality example. The decorative end is in the shape of a stag's head entwined by hunting horns. There are various marks on the skewer which include 'R & Co' within a shield shape, but the others are not easy to make out. It dates from c.1870 and it is in excellent condition.
