A superb, two part, copper nougat mould in the shape of a griffin. One side of the piece is stamped ’TROTTIER FNT’ and both sides are stamped with a number ‘4’. It dates from c.1880.  It is very well moulded, with excellent detail, and it is made from a substantial gauge of copper. It is in excellent condition and the tinning is still in quite good condition so it could be used. The two parts are held together by two metal clips.
