A Victorian, sycamore breadboard. The rim of this board is carved with barley, leaves and a small cross. The wood has a lovely, pale  patina. There is quite a lot of wear to the carving, which adds character, but the board is in very good condition. There are a couple of very small stains and the usual scratch marks which you would expect from use. It dates from c.1880.
