Small, English copper saucepan

SOLD

Code: F19221

A small, English copper saucepan and cover. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper and it has castellated seams. It dates from c.1880. The pan is 10.5cm. diameter by 8.2cm. deep and the overall length, including the steel handle, is 20.2cm. It is engraved with the mark of the original owner. On the lid it has 'M.R.' above the number '4' and on the side of the pan is 'M.R.' under a crown so it would have belonged to English nobility. There is a band of tin still showing around the rim of the pan. Often the top inch or so of the exterior of a pan would be tinned. There is very slight pitting to the copper and there is a small dent on the base rim of the pan. Otherwise it is in good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25. Western Europe add £10.
