A lovely quality, Wedgwood black basalt vase. This vase is a very traditional shape that was used by Wedgwood over a long period. The basalt is perfectly plain, with no reliefs or other decoration, and because of this the pot has to be a good quality, with no imperfections. It is marked, to the base, 'WEDGWOOD' over the letter 'V' and it dates from c.1840. It is in excellent condition.
