Small, engraved copper saucepan

SOLD

Code: F19222

A small, English copper saucepan and cover. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper and it has castellated seams. It dates from c.1880. The pan is 11.8cm. diameter by 8.2cm. deep and the overall length, including the steel handle, is 24.2cm. The base of the pan is stamped with the mark 'C X'. The lid is engraved  'A.R.' under a crown. This would be the mark of the original owner and they would have been English nobility. There is a band of tin still showing around the rim of the pan. Often the top inch or so of the exterior of a pan would be tinned. There is very slight denting to the copper on the rim of the lid but otherwise it is in good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25. Western Europe add £10.
