Brass pestle and mortar

A 19th century, brass mortar and pestle. This is very simple in form and it dates from c.1860. The mortar measures 14cm. diameter by 11cm. high and the pestle is 18.6cm. long. This makes it an ideal size for grinding spices. It is in excellent condition and, due to its' stylish simplicity, would look good in either a period or a contemporary kitchen.
