A superb quality, French copper, fancy border, ring mould. This is a very elaborate design with double scrolls which are divided by angular columns. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870.  It is stamped, to the side, with a number ‘3’, which would be a pattern number. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn so it could not be used. This design would look fabulous hanging on a wall or equally good sitting on a shelf.
