A small, pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a plum. This mould dates from c.1880 and is still usable. Moulds like this were either used for moulding individual portions or they would be used in conjunction with others to make impressive table centrepieces. You may have ice cream plums piled onto an ice comport or they would be mixed with other fruits and flowers. This mould is in very good condition and the pewter has a dark patina.
