A late nineteenth century, treen nutcracker carved in the form of a hand holding a nut. This is a very nicely carved example with good detail. It has good, rich colour and patination to the wood.
Date c.1890
Dimensions: Length 16cm. Width 4.5cm Depth 4cm. .
Condition: Crack running from the opening down into the handle and an area of the edge of the nut missing.
