Carved wooden nutcracker

A nineteenth century, wooden nut cracker in the shape of a hand grasping a nut. Possibly carved from oak, or a similar hardwood, it dates from c.1880. It is well carved and the wood has a very rich, dark patina.

Condition. Excellent.
