Pewter "Corn on Cob" mould

A super pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a corn on the cob. This is much larger than the majority of pewter moulds of this type. It is marked, in the casting, “S & Co” and there is a pattern number “270”. The moulding shows a corn on the cob with the sheath pulled back slightly. It is very well detailed and would turn out well.

Probably American. Date c.1890

Dimensions: Length 17.2cm. Width 6.5cm. Depth 4.5cm.

Condition: Very good. The exterior has a good, dark patina and the interior is in good, bright, usable condition.
