An earthenware mould in the shape of a large, elaborate, shell surrounded by small shells. This has a black, printed mark “GRIMWADES STOKE ON TRENT ENGLAND’ and it dates from c.1920. Moulded in the pot is the mark ‘8 INS SHELL’ which refers to the size and the design. It is in excellent, usable condition and the design is well detailed so it would turn out well.
