Creamware basket of strawberries mould

A lovely, 18th century, creamware mould with a basket of strawberries to the base. This mould is quite lightly potted and it sits on four peg feet. The basket of strawberries is beautifully detailed  and it is surrounded by a border design which is known as the egg and dart, or loop and pin, design. This design was also used as a hand painted border design on creamware dinner and tea services in the 18th and early 19th centuries. 

This mould does from c.1790

Dimensions: Length 15.4cm. Width 10.8cm. Depth 7cm. 

Condition: There is chipping to the feet and also to some of the high points within the mould.
