A double ended copper spoon and fork. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1860. Double ended utensils were made in many forms combining spoons of various sizes, spatulas, draining spoons, forks and fish slices and they are quite fascinating. Originally this type of utensil would have been tinned all over but the tin has been removed to reveal the copper beneath.
It is in excellent condition.
