A miniature, Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip Portland shaped vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with a large letter ‘X’. It is decorated with an armorial, which is the town crest for Lincoln, and beneath this is a ribbon containing ‘LINCOLN’. Wedgwood produced a series of miniature pots, with various town crests, which were sold as tourist souvenirs.
It is in excellent condition.
