Small mould with beehive to base

A small, pearlware mould with a beehive to the base. This mould  is unmarked, has a deep foot rim and it dates from c.1830. There is a well detailed beehive to the base and this is surrounded by a border design which is known as either the “egg and dart” or “loop and pin” pattern. The mould is lightly potted and has a bluish glaze. There is a firing crack across the base which is obvious on both the interior and the exterior and, because of this, the mould may not hold liquid.
