Basalt plaque of Hercules

A Wedgwood, black basalt plaque depicting Hercules and the Erymanthian Boar. This was the fourth of the Labours of Hercules. The plaque has an impressed “WEDGWOOD” mark and it dates from c.1860. The moulding is exceptionally good quality, with excellent depth and definition, and the plaque is in perfect condition.
