Soho Pottery, Polar Bear Mould

An unusual pottery jelly mould in the shape of a polar bear. This is marked “Solian Ware SOHO POTTERY LTD COBRIDGE ENGLAND”. This pottery operated from 1918 to 1944 and the mould dates from the 1930’s. The design is typical of that period as the polar bear is stylised and very Art Deco in form. There are two cracks in the mould, one in the foot rim and the other in the rim. These can be seen in the images.
